Hunter Harrelson

Owner/CEO

Known for his gift of gab and cheerful personality, Hunter confidently guides owners in every aspect of owning a vacation rental property on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Hunter earned his degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama in 2008. Hunter brings over 22+ years of business experience to Beachball Properties that began with his family’s successful industrial construction company located in Selma, Alabama. Prior to starting Beachball Properties, Hunter was a licensed financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and Regions Bank and has extensive accounting and finance knowledge. He lives in Orange Beach with his wife, Ginger, their two children, Lowery and Tenn, and their two dogs, Brodie and Daisy. Hunter serves as a board member for the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, the Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores, and the ACRE program through the University of Alabama. He enjoys Alabama football, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Ginger Harrelson

Owner/Corporate Counsel

Ginger, along with her husband Hunter, has achieved remarkable success in the vacation rental industry as the driving force behind Beachball Properties. Over a span of just six years, they have taken their company to exceptional heights, boasting an impressive portfolio of more than 260 properties along the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast. Their unparalleled growth has been fueled by a strategic blend of relentless branding, social media prowess, and community-oriented marketing strategies, all within the fiercely competitive Gulf Coast market. Ginger's expertise extends to skillfully guiding property owners through the intricate legal and technical intricacies of owning a vacation rental along Alabama’s Beaches. Ginger earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 2011. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in 2014. Ginger is also the co-founder of Girls on the Gulf, a local blog and social media advertising venture that empowers fellow local businesses to effectively market themselves to visitors of the Alabama Gulf Coast. She is the visionary behind influential Facebook Groups such as "What’s Happening – Orange Beach, Alabama," "What’s Happening — Gulf Shores," and "Alabama Gulf Coast Vacation Deals – Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Ft. Morgan," which have a cumulative following of over 100,000 dedicated members. Outside of business, Ginger is tirelessly committed to building community and actively contributing to philanthropy. She currently holds a significant role on The University of Alabama College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Leadership Board. In her local community, she proudly serves as the 2023-2024 President of the Pleasure Island Junior Woman’s Club, an organization with a noble mission to provide clothing for underprivileged children. Ginger, along with her husband Hunter, served as the 2023 Chairs for Baldwin Art for Heart, a charity event benefiting the mission of the American Heart Association, that magnificently raised over $310,000. Additionally, Ginger and Hunter are members of G.U.M.B.O., coalition of local business leaders who are committed to the intellectual growth and development of south Baldwin County, Alabama, as well as cabinet members for ACRE, the University of Alabama’s Center for Real Estate, which works to be a valued resource that supports Alabama’s real estate industry and promotes economic and workforce development. Ginger and Hunter, through their company, are proud Chamber Champions for the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, signifying a top 10% donation in sponsorship dollars to support local business. Ginger's influence reaches further as she actively engages with the short-term vacation rental landscape, consistently contributing her insights and experiences through speaking engagements at prestigious conferences, webinars, and podcasts. Noteworthy appearances encompass events like VRMA 2022 in Las Vegas, NV; IMN 2023 in Miami, FL, where she held roles as both a panelist and a moderator; and leading the Women’s Inclusionary Panel at IMN 2023 in Austin, TX. Additionally, her contributions extend to Breezeway’s Elevate Conference, “The No BS Short Term Rental Podcast,” and “How We Grow: The Vacation Rental Show Podcast” hosted by Lynell Gordon. She is also slated to appear as a speaker at VRMA 2023 in Orlando, FL and StreamSummit in Scottsdale, AZ in fall of 2023. Ginger is also a proud advisory board member of The 100 Collection, an independent evaluation program that awards a distinguished imprint to the top vacation rentals, and a co-author for the recently released book, Vacation Rental Secrets. In their personal life, Ginger and Hunter share a beautiful partnership that has flourished since their marriage in 2013. Together, they are nurturing two wonderful children, Lowery and Tenn.

Bob Lindley

Qualifying Broker

Bob Lindley brings over 25+ years of Broker and Real Estate experience to Beachball Properties. He is a US Army veteran, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, with Graduate Studies at LSU. He lives in Gulf Shores with his wife Kathy. Together they have 6 kids and 13 grandchildren and their Black Labrador, Delta. Bob likes to boat and fish in his spare time, and even holds a USCG 100T Master’s License.

Cheryl Ranft

Property Manager/Realtor

Cheryl is a licensed realtor and brings over 11 years’ experience in the real estate and vacation rental industry to Beachball Properties. Cheryl, her husband Randy, and their son Grayson relocated to Orange Beach in 2004 when Grayson was only 7 months old. Cheryl was raised in Texas and spent her summers and holidays on Plash Island in Gulf Shores where her grandparents lived. Cheryl has been at Beachball Properties for 3 years now and enjoys helping clients navigate vacation rental ownership, as well as helping guests plan their vacations. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys fine dining, listening to live music at the Flora-Bama or just hanging at home with family.

Jeremy Travis

Operations Manager

Jeremy is a U.S. Army Veteran who honorably served in Iraq. He earned his associate degree in Accounting from Pensacola State College. Jeremy has over a decade of experience in the vacation rental industry and is passionate about helping guests and owners alike. He is lovingly known as the “Snowbird Whisperer,” due to his propensity and willingness to assist our winter guests during their extended stays. He has three dogs, Heidi, Stella, and Scarlet. He grew up in Baldwin County and enjoys vacationing to Disney World.

Kristina Binion

Head of Quality Assurance

Kristina is a US Army Veteran. Kristina lives in Foley with her husband, Phillip, who also works for Beachball Properties. Together, Kristina and Phillip have 3 sons, 1 granddaughter, and 2 dogs. Kristina is responsible for pre-arrival inspections and to insure all properties are properly cleaned. In her spare time, Kristina enjoys riding bikes, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Phillip Binion

Head of Property Care

Phillip is a US Army Veteran with a degree in Engineering from the University of Georgia. Phillip lives in Foley with his wife, Kristina, who also works for Beachball Properties. Together, Phillip and Kristina have 3 sons, 1 granddaughter, and 2 dogs. In his spare time, Phillip enjoys riding bikes, fishing, carpentry, and tinkering with his Jeep.

Steve Barkley

Maintenance and Property Care

Steve has been a resident of Baldwin County for 25 years. He has been married to his wife, Jackie, who is a Baldwin County educator, for 29 wonderful years. Together, they have one son, one daughter, and two grandsons. Prior to starting work with Beachball Properties, Steve enjoyed a long career as a Deep Sea Diver. In his spare time, Steve enjoys fishing, hunting, and gardening. He particularly enjoys fishing the local waters for speckled trout, redfish, and large mouth bass. Steve also enjoys volunteering his time teaching children how to fish with the Salty Kidz organization.

Brian Toner

Maintenance & Property Care

Brian moved to Baldwin County 2 years ago from Birmingham to enjoy the Island lifestyle. He brings with him 20+ years of homebuilding experience and is passionate about caring for the properties we manage. He NEVER meets a stranger! He has been married to his wife, Mitch, for 9 years although they have been lifelong friends. They have 2 fur babies at home, Tank and Daisy. Brian became a living kidney donor in December of 2014 to a family friend. In Brian’s spare time he enjoys giving new life to antique furniture.

Shannon Robinson

Reservations & OTA Operations

Shannon is a new addition to Beachball and brings with her over 7+ years experience from another Vacation Rental provider in the area. She’s been married to her husband Stephen for 7 years and is mother to Gabby, who is a recent high school graduate about to begin her pharmacist degree at the University of South Alabama. A native of Baldwin County, she and her family love to visit family in Ohio and travel to the mountains. In addition, she enjoys crafting, spending time with family and rooting on the Auburn Tigers in football.

Emily Christy

Business Development Manager

Emily is our New Business Development Manager and is a licensed real estate agent! She brings with her over 12+ years of Marketing experience. Emily obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University in 2011. Since then, she has been the Director of Publicity and Promotions for Warner Bros. Pictures and Director of Marketing for Best Maid Pickles. She and her family moved to Orange Beach from Fort Worth, TX in the summer of 2021. She has been married to her husband Patrick going on 7 years, and together they have their beautiful daughters, Claire (5) and Evie (1). She loves to cook, go boating with friends and family, trips to the beach and pool, tailgating, and a good true crime podcast.

Adrienne Rea

Marketing Content Manager

Adrienne is our Marketing Content Manager and comes to us with 6+ years Vacation Rental Experience and over 13+ years of Marketing experience. From the Mobile, Alabama area, she was raised on the beaches of Baldwin and had the honor of serving as a Mobile Azalea Trail Maid during her senior year in high school. She obtained her Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Alabama in 2007 and 2009. Her past employment includes Business to Business Marketing for Regions Bank, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Distinguished Young Women National program and being the Marketing Content Manager for another vacation rental company on the Gulf Coast. She’s been married to her husband Chris for 7+ years and together they have their daughter Julia Ragon (5) and two sweet pups, Drew and Stella. She enjoys boating on back bays, quality time with friends and family, and a good long Netflix series.
